What are the Carbon Monoxide Alarm Points on the Inspector?
Our portable CO monitor will alarm at 35 PPM on a low point, and 200 PPM on a high.
How often does my Handheld Carbon Monoxide Detector need calibration?
For the Sensorcon Inspector, we recommend every 180 days. However, this also depends on how precise you need your readings to be. If you intend to use it simply to let you know about potentially dangerous carbon monoxide levels, an annual or semi-annual calibration should suffice.
Day 0: +/- 10%
Day 180: +/- 20%
1 year: +/- 30%
2 year: +/- 40%
3 year: +/- 60%
So after 2 years without calibration, the 35 PPM threshold would register somewhere between 25 PPM and 45 PPM. In both cases, further investigation is warranted.
